Fried Fish in Batter recipe

Ingredients & Quantities

  • 500g of Frozen Fish Portions
  • 110g of Plain Flour
  • 30g of Dried Milk
  • 1tsp of Baking Powder
  • 1/4tsp of Salt

Method

  1. Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and gradually add the cold water to give a coating consistency.
  2. Flour the frozen fish portions.
  3. Dip the fish in the batter mixture and fry in a pre-heated deep fat fryer at 180C for approximately 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove fish from fryer when the portions are golden brown.
  5. Drain the excess oil from the portions before serving.
Notes: timings will depend on size of fish portions. This is based on 500g of fish in 10 portions.
