Pink (Strawberry) Custard recipe

Ingredients & Quantities

Method

  1. Put the measured water in to a Double Boiler and whisk in the dried milk.
  2. Leave sufficient water to blend to a thin cream, the cornflour and sugar.
  3. Heat the milk mixture to boiling point and cook for 20 minutes.
  4. Whisk in the blended cornflour and sugar and cook for a further 5-10 minutes. If the custard is too thick, thin down with some hot water.

I have also heard of strawberry blancmange packet mix being used so this could probably be substituted if you can't get strawberry conflour.

I've looked into this - apprently "strawberry cornflour" and "strawberry blancmange packet mix" are the same thing (if you check the the ingredients). It might be worth updating the Ingredients to avoid confusion!

I've created a 'definition' for Strawberry Cornflour which means this will have been updated site-wide. Thanks for your research on this matter! Feel free to create your own definitions here: http://www.schoolrecipes.co.uk/index.php/glossary-a-defi nitions.html
