Cheese and Potato Pie Recipe

Ingredients & Quantities

  • 400g of Potatoes
  • 5g of Dried Milk
  • 45ml of Water
  • 1/4tspn Mustard
  • 10g of Margarine
  • 125g of Cheese (Cheddar)
  • 30g of Onions
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Method

  1. Prepare and cook the potatoes.
  2. Melt the margarine and fry the prepared onions until cooked.
  3. Reconstitute the dried milk with the potato water, beat it in to the potatoes while mashing.
  4. Add the cooked onions and most of the cheese and mustard - reserve some cheese for topping.
  5. Place the potato mixture in to a greased tin.
  6. Sprinkle the spare cheese over the top.
  7. Cook in a moderate oven until brown on top.
Notes: garnish with parsley sprigs
